The output files from
gcov can be difficult to analyze effectively. Several tools can help improve analysis of coverage data:
- CoverStory is an open source OS X GUI app which takes
gcovcoverage files and displays the source code in a regular window, highlighting the code according to coverage.
- lcov is a set of Perl scripts that creates output providing 3 levels of detail: directory view, file view, and source code view. This document describes general usage, and it should be possible to adapt to OS X.
- ggcov is a GTK+ program that helps put coverage information in a more graphical form, with several different views.
