At this meeting we'll cover the Objective-C programming language, Xcode, and Interface Builder. The focus is on helping Cocoa newcomers overcome the bump at the front of the learning curve and get a solid start at mastering Cocoa.
We'll demonstrate how to create a Cocoa app using Apple's developer tools. Coverage of Objective-C will provide "survival skills" to newcomers, and help experienced programmers make the leap from other languages. Although this meeting is geared towards fairly introductory topics, we solicit your participation and feedback, since we want to develop material that can help Cocoa newcomers overcome the bump at the front of the learning curve and get a successful start at mastering Cocoa.
Note: This meeting will be held on Tuesday the 8th (instead of Thursday the 10th) because of a conflict in scheduling with our sponsoring department at BYU.
